Reimagined by visionary Tony Award®-winning director Jamie Lloyd, Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s legendary EVITA returns to Broadway starring Rachel Zegler, who won the Olivier Award for her acclaimed portrayal of Eva Perón in the West End.
EVITA features an iconic score, including “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina,” “Oh What a Circus,” “Another Suitcase in Another Hall,” and the Oscar®-winning “You Must Love Me.” Fueled by ambition and passion Eva Perón rose from poverty to become the most powerful woman in Latin America. A symbol of hope for many Argentines, her star shone brightly as she captured the nation’s heart and divided its soul.

About the Theatre
Winter Garden Theatre

The Winter Garden theatre was originally built in 1896 to be the American Horse Exchange before it was redesigned and reopened in by the Shubert brothers 1911. After undergoing renovations in the 1920’s, the building now featured it’s current, larger-than-normal stage. The Ziegfeld Follies performed at the theater in 1934 and 1936 and featured performers such as Bob Hope and Fanny Brice.
The Winter Garden is still owned by the Shubert Organization. The theatre’s longest tenant was Cats which ran 7,485 performances spanning nearly nineteen years.
